Here is an excellent system for squandering public money on perfectly useless and, above all, UNFAIR things. From 2014 the SHAMEFUL public funding for newspapers that are perpetually losing money will go from 137 million in 2013 to 175 million in 2014! The question is simple: why does the State have to pay, with OUR money, these PRIVATE COMPANIES that are unable to generate publishing_groups ... useful on their own? If XXYY newspaper doesn't sell enough newspapers to stand on its own, why can't it fail like any other company in our country? The only sensible answer to this question is that if the Government supports information by giving away millions of euros as if they were peanuts it is ONLY BECAUSE information, then it will support the Government: two entities covering each other's asses, said with the language of the man in the street.
It should be added that the sale of paper newspapers Brazil Phone Number fell in 2012 by almost 20% compared to the previous year. Continuing at this rate, sales will reach ZERO copies sold but these companies will survive anyway because the Government will give them all the money necessary for them to continue, POINTLESSLY, to exist. And YOUR company, why doesn't it receive money from the state? What is different from a company that sells NEWSPAPERS? Simple, the only thing that changes is that YOU don't have lobbyists on your payroll hanging around Montecitorio and pushing these SOLD OUT politicians to pass laws for YOUR exclusive benefit! You are HONEST and CORRECT! This is your problem.
The State SHOULD NOT vote on laws that favor one INDIVIDUAL OVER ANOTHER. It should be guaranteed and SUPERPARTES. The market decides who lives and who dies... The sad reality, however, is that in the era of digital information our ancient Government brazenly supports, thanks to the lobbies infiltrated from time immemorial in Montecitorio, the printed paper and the rotary presses of the equally ancient and prehistoric Italian publishing groups. Some examples of laws which, coincidentally, ''push'' the purchase of printed paper to the detriment of digital products: - VAT on paper books is 4% while on equivalent digital books it is 22%. It's simply scandalous! - The introduction of digital school books is ''mysteriously'' continuously moved forward.
